DEVO 08

Psalm 127:1 (NKJV)
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”

Building a Strong Foundation While Waiting on God

Lord, as I wait on You, help me to continue building diligently while trusting in Your timing and wisdom. Strengthen the foundation You are helping me lay and guide my steps as I seek to align with Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Spiritual Reflection.

When God places a calling on our lives, it’s natural to want to move quickly, eager to fulfill the purpose He has given us. But we quickly realize that building anything for God requires a solid foundation, and that foundation is built through prayer, wisdom, and God’s guidance. Psalm 127:1 reminds us that all our efforts **no matter how diligent** are in vain unless God is the one building with us.

Right now, you may find yourself in a season where preparation and waiting on God go hand in hand. It can be hard to wait when you know there’s so much to be done, but waiting on God doesn’t mean being idle. It means continuing to work diligently while trusting Him to provide the wisdom, resources, and divine connections needed for your ministry to stand strong.

God is working behind the scenes even when we can’t see it. In this season, keep seeking Him in prayer, keep connecting with others who are aligned with His mission, and trust that He will lead you to build something that lasts. The foundation you are laying now through patience, preparation, and faith will allow your calling to stand the test of time.

Take a minute and
