DEVO 09
Trusting God in Uncertain TImes
Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Life’s uncertainties can be challenging, especially when we don’t see what lies ahead or when things aren’t moving as quickly as we’d like. In these times, God calls us to a deeper level of trust—a trust that lets go of our need to understand everything and instead rests in His wisdom and timing.

Trust in God’s Goodness
Even when things don’t make sense, God’s promises remain true. In Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV), God reminds us, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God has a plan for us, even when the path is unclear.

Embrace Peace in the Unknown
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) encourages us to bring our worries to God: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” As we give our anxieties to Him, God fills us with a peace that transcends our circumstances.

Prepare and Be Faithful Where You Are
While waiting, we can continue to serve faithfully in our current season. Just as Joseph served in prison before he was elevated to a position of authority, God calls us to be faithful where we are, preparing us for what lies ahead.
Reflection & Prayer
Are you struggling to trust God with the unknown? Instead of striving to understand it all, ask God for the peace that comes with surrender. Trust that He is working in ways we can’t see, leading us toward His purpose.
Lord, help me to trust You more deeply during this time of uncertainty. Remind me that Your ways are higher than mine, and fill my heart with peace as I wait for Your guidance.
In Jesus Name, Amen
